As the network of villages relying on Nicholas's Christmas deliveries expanded far beyond his immediate neighborhood, pulling a heavy wooden sled by hand across miles of deep snow became an impossible task for one man.
One harsh winter, a magnificent herd of swift northern reindeer wandered near the outskirts of the village. Accustomed to Nicholas's gentle nature and kind heart, the creatures grew remarkably tame, allowing themselves to be harnessed to his large delivery sled.
Led by Vixen and his companions, the reindeer effortlessly glided over snowdrifts and ice fields, transforming grueling hours of trekking into swift, magical journeys across the wintry landscape.
